While getting closer to the Island,you will recognize,that it is shaped like a tear.Thats why Sri Lanka is also known as:”The Island of the tear.”
To beginn your trip I would recommend starting of in the main city Colombo.This is a great place to visit temples of Buddha. Many sin gales people (those that live there) pray to Buddha.This is there god they believe in.If you want,that Buddha helps you,you have to bring some sacrificial offering to the altar.Very popular are flowers that you offer to the god.You can also visit museums that teach you History of Sri Lanka.If you want to get to somewhere amd it is to far away you take a took -took.There are more than 1000.000 took-tooks in Sri Lanka.They are like small taxis that bring you from place to place.It is not worth staying there for more than two day because temples will get on your nervs. After you have learned enough History of Sri Lanka,you can go on a Safari tour.SRi Lanka has lots of wild animals and is famous for Leopards.Don’t think that if you go on the Safari tour you will see Leopards.Everybody in SRi Lanka says that you are goinig to meet Leopards but thats not true.They are very shy and lazy animals.Monkeys are like pidgeons in Sri Lanka.They are every where.NEVER EVER STAND UNDER A COCONUT TREE”!!! You can get attacked by them with coconuts.BEWARE!!!On your safari trips you will get to see Phesants all over the place.[:]
